Kyung Hee University Research Portal

Kyung Hee University has developed each campus into a specialized comprehensive campus. The Seoul Campus is dedicated to traditional academic disciplines such as humanities, social sciences, medicine, basic science, and fine arts, while the Global Campus focuses on applied studies such as engineering, applied science, international studies, contemporary art, and physical education. The Gwangneung Campus Graduate Institute of Peace Studies has inherited and advances Kyung Hee's proud tradition of philosophy of peace. The three campuses are together home to 23 colleges, 88 departments and 15 graduate schools as well as 74 affiliated research centers (small) and 34 affiliated institutes (as of 2025).

Under the founding philosophy of “Creating a Civilized World,” Kyung Hee moves ever forward as a true university of future by advancing the tradition of academe and peace. A true university of future is that which creatively connects theories and reality, science and praxis, the past and the future, and the region and the earth. Kyung Hee is rising to the challenges posed by the great civilizational transition through the five Connective Cooperation Clusters of Biohealth, Future Sciences, Civilization, Arts & Culture, and Social Physical Education and by inspiring an ideal environment of academia and practice demanded by the future society.
