Abstract
An industrial-scale platform based on a platform composed of a Applied Biosystems ICATTM reagent, MDLC purification and tandem mass spectrometry systems to quantitate differential protein expression in normal and cancerous human liver tissue was described. The normal and cancerous human liver tissue were diced from the same patient and the buffered tissues were homogenized, sonicated and ultracentrifuged. The automated MDLC system was used for the separation and collection of the digested peptides. The results show that the platform offers much higher throughput and richer information content for quantitative protein analysis in complicated biological samples.
