A novel live streaming system using P2P and statistical multiplexing

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a new streaming system by employing P2P and statistical multiplexing. The proposed scheme enhances the bandwidth efficiency of the whole network. Compared to the previous proposed methods, our scheme is also better in terms of received video quality. Experiment result shows that the variance of PSNR of the proposed scheme is lower than that of the same other schemes. Furthermore, it shows better QoS than them in case of simultaneous services to a lot of users.
