Abstract
The MARS-LMR/FREK spatial kinetics coupled system code is applied to stability analyses of the Prototype Gen-IV Sodium Cooled Fast Reactor (PGSFR). Two imaginary perturbed transient scenarios are examined: periodic control rod movement and core inlet temperature change. The results demonstrate the effects and advantages of the spatial kinetics coupled system analyses in fast reactors. It is shown also through the stability analyses that the stability of the PGSFR can be maintained without any intervention with the safety system.
