Abstract

Stable and long life cold cathode electron emitter is strongly required for lighting devices. The high performance electron emitter with carbon nanotubes were studied for lighting device application. The performance of lighting device with CNT emitters having triode structure was studied. More than 24 kcd/m2 luminance was achieved with 1.95 W driving powers. Detail of electron emission properties of CNT emitters and lighting performance of light bulbs will be discussed.
