Abstract

Eight compounds were isolated from the rare actinobacteria Streptacidiphilus carbonis isolated from the lichen Sphaerophorus globosus (Huds.) Vain. collected from the Antarctic. The isolated compounds include four cyclic dipeptides (1–4) and four alkaloids (5–8), and the structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic analysis of NMR and MS, and by comparing with the reported data. All of the isolates (1–8) were reported for the first time from S. carbonis. The chemotaxonomical significance of the isolated constituents is also discussed.
