Abstract

Telecommunication industry has been growing everyday and the service is being diversified according to customers' need, from traditional phone call to mobile internet service. In proportion to more kinds of service and increasing customers, tremendous data about facilities, customers, and related companies are accumulated in data storage but the effort for finding valuable information hidden in the data has been insignificant issues. In this paper, we propose a knowledge discovery and refinement architecture for a telecommunication company. Based on data warehouse and on-line analytical processing technology, many kinds of knowledge are extracted and continuously refined for various purposes.
