Effects of task lighting on the subjects' performance and satisfaction; related to correlate color temperature and illuminance

This study attempts to show the effects of different correlate color temperature (CCT) relation subjective rating score and task performance. For the comparative study of LED task lighting conditions, three kinds of LED light sources were selected. And three different luminances were used in actual work plane with 17 selected questions with Likert 5 point scale method and significant differences were analyzed by computer program, SPSS 12.0. To evaluate accuracy and its duration, error modification and reading ability were conducted. The results indicate that the visual fatigue, mental fatigue, concentration and relaxation were influenced by different task lighting conditions. It can be suggested to use a flexible lighting system that can be controlled by the user at the work plane.
