Abstract

In recent years, as genetic testing has transitioned to high-throughput methods such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) or chromosomal microarray (CMA), dealing with large-scale genetic information, the field of genetic counseling has become increasingly complex. In this chapter, we aim to explore the key considerations in the general process of genetic counseling and discuss major Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) issues related to genetic counseling.
