Abstract

For such high-accuracy applications, a Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) can be employed successfully. In particular, high reliability positioning applications applied to Vehicle with moving specificity requires real-time kinematic (RTK-GPS) to ensure cm-level. For cm-level positioning, there is a need for a reliable wireless communication environment to transmit RTK correction between base station and rover (vehicle). In this research paper we present our experimental measurement results by RTK correction using wireless communication methods in outdoor open field. New network protocol can be applied to WAVE-GPS system to connect it for RTK correction. For this, we configure base server to pass RTK correction information, and verify reliability HDOP and VDOP by experiments. The WAVE system used in the tests of this study developed TCP/IP server protocol to transmit RTK correction by 1Hz period. The test result indicated that the WAVE system had a better reliable deviation continuity result than that of the other ways.
