Abstract

In this work, we report a new high transmittance and high reliability cathode unit for transparent OLED applications. This new cathode was fabricated by codeposition with silver and aluminum by thermal evaporation. The atomic percentages of aluminum and silver are 96 at.% and 4 at.%, respectively. Our new cathode shows 81.9% transmittance at the 520nm wavelength with a low sheet resistance of 7.0 Ω/□. This cathode shows good electron injection and almost no specific agglomeration phenomenon of cathode at high thermal condition of 85°C, 240 hours.
