Abstract

Pelvic vascular diseases in women are classified as uterine arteriovenous malformations and arteriovenous fistula, uterine artery aneurysm and pseudoaneurysm, pelvic varicosities that cause pelvic congestion syndrome, and puerperal ovarian vein thrombophlebitis (POVT). Vascular diseases in the female pelvis are rare, but are potentially life threatening due to massive uterine bleeding in arteriovenous fistula, arteriovenous malformation, and pseudoaneurysm and sepsis in POVT. Therefore, immediate imaging diagnosis is important for appropriate management.
