Abstract

In this paper, we propose a method for measuring surface concentration of cellsurface receptors using a chemically modified piezoresistive cantilever. Our method is based on the specific binding force between the cell-surface receptors and their antibodies. We observed that the binding force between a cell surface and the cantilever surface decreases from 2.9 nN to 1.1 nN after 15 min and 64 min incubation at room temperature (RT). This result indicates that the expression level of cell-surface receptors changes depending on the incubation time at RT.
