Abstract

Functionalized mesoporous silica particles having TiO2 nanoparticles are prepared by an aerosol-assisted coassembly. The obtained mesoporous silica microparticles possess a high surface area (>400 m 2/g) and uniform mesopores of about 8 nm. A TEM image shows that the TiO2 nanoparticles are distributed within the mesoporous silica particles.
