N2 - In this paper, we focus on a partial block multicarrier CDMA system (PB/MC-CDMA system), which is a new system base on combination of CDMA and OFDMA. By combining these two multiple-access techniques our PB system is more flexible compared with MC-CDMA systems. Site diversity technique has been successfully used in MC-CDMA system for users located at the cell edge, in this paper we just introduce this technique into PB/MC-CDMA system, and proved its effectiveness through computer simulation. In addition, we introduced a special STBC site diversity to further improve the BER performance by reducing the inter-cell interference and getting full diversity in frequency domain.
