Abstract
SiNTs were synthesized on porous alumina using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The SiNTs were grown on top of the protruding pore edges of the porous alumina without the assistance of catalysts. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra showed a new peak near 600 nm, revealing a blue shift after oxidation.
