Abstract

We calculate a 147nm vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) photon distribution arriving at the plasma display panel (PDP) phosphor surface by using Monte Carlo simulation. Spectral distributions of photons will be calculated in the PDP cell structure. Especially, the spectral dip at center frequency will be seriously studied. We can give a brief explanation of the spectral dip at center frequency by using the concept of frequency-dependent mean free path.
