Abstract
In this paper, we consider the self-dual equations arising from the generalized Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs model. This model is one of the k-field models that have nonstandard kinetic terms, and is known to be useful in the study of cosmology. By using a variational argument, we show that there exists a topological solution for any coupling constants.
